Say hello to the 2024 cohort of innovation projects

The Humanitarian Innovation Programme received 125 applications in 2024, which is an all-time high number. Among these, 14 projects were granted funding: seven innovation lab projects and seven scaling projects. The projects address a wide range of humanitarian challenges through innovative approaches. The projects span from addressing malnourishment using new technology, to new methods for dry season farming and innovative business models to tackle waste in humanitarian settings.
- This year we are particularly delighted to be funding the same number of early-stage innovation projects as scaling projects. It is through scale that innovation can truly deliver on its inherent impact. We look forward to be working with these fourteen projects moving forward, says Therese M. U. Pankratov, Head of Programme.
