Job Description: We are seeking a consultant to collaborate on a comprehensive report on humanitarian energy failures and learnings. The consultant will work with Innovation Norway’s Humanitarian Innovation Programme (HIP Norway) and The Global Platform for Action on Sustainable Energy in Displacement Settings (GPA) to deliver key insights and recommendations for improving energy access in humanitarian contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct desk research on existing literature related to humanitarian energy projects and innovation.
- Hold interviews with various stakeholders including innovation programs, humanitarian partners, private sector companies, and government stakeholders.
- Write and peer review a report on humanitarian energy failures and learnings.
- Prepare and deliver sessions at the SELCO Foundation Impact/Failures Forum and other events.
- Disseminate the report through webinars and blogs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in humanitarian innovation and energy access programming.
- Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to summarize complex ideas into actionable recommendations.
- High level of qualitative data analysis skills.
- Experience with donor and funder engagement and advocacy.
