Innovation Norway and Global Platform for Action (GPA) are excited to launch a new report on how learning from failure is crucial to power progress in humanitarian energy.

The report explores why some humanitarian energy projects succeed while others fall short, identifying 25 common challenges across technological, economic, social, implementation, and governance factors.

Through seven case studies, including solar streetlights in Rohingya camps, mini-grids in Kenya, e-waste circularity in Uganda, and pellet cookstoves in Malawi, it highlights real lessons to drive better impact.

An important call to action from the publication is - let's learn openly from what has not worked. This will be key to advancing energy access for displaced and host communities.
